About Me – The Hands Behind the Craft
Hey there, I’m Michael—but these days, most people just call me Pops. I’m 53 years old, a proud dad to two grown sons and the best 10-year-old daughter ever. Crafting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—it’s always felt natural to me. I work in a mix of styles, which helps my art stand out, giving each piece a unique character.
Living on a tight budget due to being disabled makes creating a challenge at times, but with the support of friends and the small family I have, I keep going. Recently, someone helped me get a fiber laser engraver, which has opened up new possibilities for working with metal and eased some of the strain on my hands. But no matter the tools, I still engrave, finish, and clean up every piece by hand—ensuring that everything I sell is truly made by me.
I keep my prices as low as I can because I understand what it’s like to want something special but not always be able to afford it. More than anything, I love the idea that long after I’m gone, there will still be pieces of my work out there, carrying a part of me forward.
That’s me in a nutshell—for now. I’ll keep adding more as my story continues.
Thanks for stopping by,
~Pops
